I am absolutely ecstatic that my local libraries have started curbside pick-up and phoning or e-mailing in 'orders.' My new favorite game is to stalk their website to see what books I want are at libraries close to me. This week I picked up a few books that were lingering on my TBR.
THE SECRETS WE KEPT BY LARA PRESCOTT | This spy plot Cold War novel focusing on women in the war has been on my radar for awhile but the wait list for the e-book had me towards the bottom. Not today! I'm so excited to dive into another female spy book, it's one of my favorite historical fiction storylines.
A WALK IN THE WOODS BY BILL BRYSON | My friend Teddy loves Bill Bryson and I am embarrassed to say I had never heard of him before. This book's synopsis reminded me of one of my all-time favorite books, Happiness for Beginners, so I'm hoping it gives me some of those vibes.
THE EXPLORER BY KATHERINE RUNDELL | I saw the UK edition at a bookstore when I was in London and the book seller couldn't say enough good things about it! I'm not a huge Middle Grader reader but I'm excited to add this story of adventure in the Amazon with 4 children to my reading list.
A KIND OF PARADISE BY AMY REBECCA TAN | This book came highly recommended by Kayla, @IdleWildReads, and it sounds like a love letter to books and libraries and that's all I needed to hear to also add this Middle Grade to my TBR.
