Arrivederci...But Just For a Little While

Buon giorno miei amici! Hello my friends! I wanted to give all my fabulous readers (you do exist, right?) a heads up that Belle of the Literati will be quiet for a while. Don't fret, I'm not leaving the blogging world, but I am leaving this country. I will be leaving for Europe on Friday for 26 amazing days! 

I'll be going to Palermo, Sicily for the first time!! I'll also be visiting my family in Porticello (picture below). It's a small fishing town my grandparents came from so I am SO SO SO excited to visit! I've been waiting for this for practically my whole life!

After Sicily I've got a 16 day tour of Eastern Europe with Topdeck Travel! If you guys ever are going to travel Europe, Australia, or Africa, Topdeck is the way to go. They are an amazing company with extremely knowledgeable tour guides and it is SO much fun! I did a Topdeck tour through Europe last year and it was the best time of my life. I was asked to be a European tour leader for this year but getting a UK work visa as an American is basiclaly impossible. Bloody bastards...BUT the most exciting part of this tour is that I will get to meet Judith and Daisy and Debby and Mel!!! GAHHHH!!!!!! My most favorite Netherland ladies!! I am so excited!!

After Eastern Europe I'll be in London for a few days. London is one of my most favorite cities EVER! You all know how I geek for the Tudors and the Plantagenets. This city is my historical dork playground. Also, I'm REALLY hoping to get a day trip out to Wales! I hear it is just breathtakingly beautiful and...let's be honest...my bookish heart wants to see where Will Herondale is from...SUE ME FOR TAKING IT TO THAT LEVEL SORRY NOT SORRY. Ok, anyways. I just reeeeally wanna go there!!! As well as Oxford...the Bodlein library, you guys?!??!!?!

Not to sound like a snot or to rub it in by I am SO FREAKIN' EXCITED I CAN'T STAND IT!!!! I have just a few review posts scheduled so you might see those pop up! I won't have access to check anything but email and occasionally Twitter if I can get Wi-Fi but leave me some love on here or Twitter!! I'll miss you guys but I'll be back soon!!


Also, I've started transcribing my travel journal from last year into a new blog-- My Adventures in the Great Wide Somewhere --like I couldn't NOT have a Beauty and the Beast inspired title?-- if you guys want to check it out! Still a work in progress but I'm loving re-living my experience and maybe you guys can get a few laughs out of it as well! :)
