The Sea of Tranquility Blog Tour Stop! And Giveaway!

Welcome to another stop on the blog tour for The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay! Oh my gosh, can I start off by saying how EXCITED I am to be a part of this?!? For realz, this is one of my FAVORITE books I have ever read (you can find my review here) and to be asked to be a part of this is such an honor. The paperback edition of this fabulous book is available on Tuesday June 4th and you all just must must MUST pick up a copy if you have not yet. I'm serious this book is phenomenal and you will NOT regret it. AND you have a chance to enter to win a SIGNED paperback copy of TSoT!

Ok, so if that hasn't convinced you I have broken down a few (or several) reasons why this book kicks major ass.

Top 5 Reasons Why Nastya Kicks Ass
1. She loves Harry Potter and references it at least 3 times in the book...amazeballs
2. She is a tough chick and doesn't take shit from anyone. Kickass heroine status right here.
3. She loves cake...this is a personal favorite fact of mine ;)
4. She dresses to the nines all the time and wears stilettos to school like every day. Girl has mad skills.
5. She has a Russian name. Automatically gives you stunner status.

Top 5 Reasons to Swoon Over Josh Bennett (And one extra for fun)
1. He works well with his hands...yeah...yeah, I went there and yes I want you to think exactly what you're thinking ;) For real though, he is crazy talented at making hand-made furniture so you know that is automatically husband material.
2. He smells like sawdust...yummy.
3. He's hot...did I mention that he's hot?
4. He is kind, loyal, and infinitely caring to those he loves.
5. He is vulnerable and strong and just overall manly...rawr.
6. He is swoon-worthy to the max and he isn't even trying to be. He is just brutally honest and it will make you melt.

Top 5 Reasons This Book Rocks
1. The author is one of the nicest and coolest people ever!
2. The writing is breathtaking. Simple as that.
3. Harry Potter is referenced several times and anybody with half a brain knows that this is literary gold. Harry Potter for life! :)
4. The periphery characters make the story complete and add so much more than typical background noise. They are well-developed and you are totally rooting for them as well.
5. ALL THE FEELS!!!!!!!

Top 5 Quotes (and of course, 1 bonus)
Remember when I mentioned that the writing is breathtaking? Well here are my top 5 favorite quotes...you all know how much I love my words :)

1. "I live in a world without magic or miracles. A place where there are no clairvoyants or shapeshifters, no angels or superhuman boys to save you. A place where people die and music disintegrates and things suck. I am pressed so hard against the earth by the weight of reality that some days I wonder how I am still able to lift my feet to walk."

2. "'Just so you know,' I inform him, 'one day, I’m going to get tired of sharing your affection with that coffee table and I’m going to make you choose.' 'Just so you know,' he mimics me, 'I would chop that table up and use it for firewood before I would ever choose anything over you.'"

3. "I didn't belong in this world anymore. It's not that I wanted to be dead, I just felt like I should be...It left me a lot of time to think, lots of time to get angry and feel sorry for  myself. To ask, Why me? To ask, Why? period. I have a black belt in self-pity. I was an expert in the field. Still. am. It's a skill you never forget."

4. “You know I meant it. I am human. And male. And not remotely blind. Do you want me to say it again? You are distractingly, even if-that-is-not-a-real-word pretty. You are so pretty that I bullied Clay Whitaker into drawing me a picture of you so I could look at you when you aren't around. You are so pretty that one of these days I'm going to lose a finger in my garage because I can't concentrate with you so close to me. You are so pretty that I wish you weren't so I wouldn't want to hit every guy at school who looks at you, especially my best friend.”

5.  "'Thanks for the cat...I named him Voldemort.'"

6. “There are so many things that can break you if there's nothing to hold you together.”

Am I right or am I right?! Ok, so the giveaway is below and you can also creep on the author on her Twitter and I'm serious when I say she is the nicest and one of the most awesome people ever! SO enter the giveaway below but in case you do not win you can purchase The Sea of Tranquility at multiple retailers here . Good luck! And may the odds be ever in your favor ;)

  8. Well, of course this book, TSoT. That was amazing. But, also, The Slammed Series. Those books were so crazy awesome. Also, I read a book last year called Coming Home by Laurie Breton. I can not believe how many emotions I felt in that book. And when I thought I had felt the worst and it couldn't possibly turn around and make me ever feel good again, it did. I recommend that book, along with Slammed and TSoT to EVERYONE who asks what is a good book to read. Those ARE my go to books.
Thanks for this awesome, amazing, wonderful giveaway.
