"I'd always been a sexual creature
but had never been the type to know what to do about it.
The boys never asked me out;
I wasn't invited to parties or the like even in college.
...I couldn't find much connection with most men.
They wanted to party, I wanted to read."

My Thoughts
WARNING: THIS BOOK CONTAINS EROTICA AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE UNDER 18
So I always love me a dirty book. I'm pretty picky on which ones I'll read. I don't want to read about some flippant, stupid characters with no plot. So far I've been lucky and read some really great ones...and this one was okay. It didn't really capture my attention like the previous erotica books I've read. I really wanted to like it more but my heart just didn't get into it.
The plot itself seemed typical to me in these types of stories. Super hot, young billionaire captures the eye of the young temp in the office. While I do love these stories and a part of me wishes this happened to me in real life (uh, what single girl doesn't?), I just didn't feel the foundation was well-established. In other similar stories you can see the guy bending his ways; he will do and say things that give you the impression that the main girl is different from the others. I didn't get this from Jeremiah. He seemed to treat her differently in a way...but didn't give her too much more to go on. Lucy does what any other girl would do and starts to fall for him. And for the first time in these stories I was hoping for the opposite. I could tell where the story would go and her putting herself out there was not the way to get this guy. She definitely read the signals wrong. He never really gave her much indication that he wanted a relationship.
I liked Lucy though for the most part. She held her ground sometimes but I did think she was a little too easily persuaded to being submissive. Jeremiah was a decent character. Nothing too memorable or special. The plot behind their relationship, while extremely far-fetched, was pretty interesting. The ending comes to a head that you never really see coming and leaves the door open for more of the story. I actually think I liked the ending chapter best of all. We get a bit more depth from the characters and it'll be interesting to see if the next installment shows the characters keeping these traits. I will say, the sex scenes are pretty hot. Some of the...uh...choice of words were a bit questionable. Made me cringe a little bit, but not over-the-top terrible. Good writing overall, I just didn't really connect to the story and characters.
Should You Read This? Meh. Not the best erotica I've read but not horrible. If you have time and you've exhausted your other routes in the genre then sure. But I would not stop what you are reading to pick this one up. I probably will see where the story goes with the next book, but I'm not eagerly anticipating.
