Top Ten Bookish Memories! Hosted by The Broke and The Bookish! Eep! I had so much fun thinking of all these, this was such a good idea! Yay! AND I got to include some more of my pictures from my Europe trip, holla!!

Book Memories

1. Reading My First Chapter Book All By Myself...The Giver--We all know I obsess over The Giver and this is why. My very first book that I read all on my own and it will forever be one of my absolute favorites. This book helped shape my reading habits. Much gratitude.

2. Reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone--Another milestone. Harry Potter means so, so much to me. I can still remember the first time I ever read it. I just adore this series. It teaches us so much and this was the start of it all.

3. Reading The Hunger Games--I can remember exactly where I was when I was reading this first book. In Florida, by the pool, and I was so enthralled by it that I took it to the parks with me and read in line. Legit. There is actually a pic of me sitting on the ground waiting for a show and reading it. Just couldn't put it down. Fills me with happiness just thinking about it...*sigh*

4. Sobbing Through 75% of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows--Again, I can remember exactly where I was when I read this book and that I cried for no reason (well some crying had reason) at random points in the book. I was just overcome by the finality of it all and I would just burst out in tears reading dialogue between Harry, Ron and Hermione knowing there was only so much left to be read. *tear*

Author Memories

5.. Meeting Caragh O'Brien--Her Birthmarked series spoke to me. I've said this a million and one times but meeting and talking with her has been hands down one of the best bookish memories ever. Gaia for President! :)

9. Meeting Kate Morton--I never in my LIFE thought I would get to meet her! Her writing is lovely, her stories are captivating...and she's from Australia...but she came to Wisconsin this yeah and I was so.excited. She is so cool and funny and gah, it was just awesome!

7. Meeting Leigh Bardugo--Dude, Leigh Bardugo is one of the funniest people ever and I wish she was my friend in real life. Seriously. Shadow and Bone is one of my favs and getting to meet the genius behind Alina and Mal and The Darkling...awesome!

Location Memories

8. Visiting The Execution Green at the Tower of London--My love for historical fiction began with reading Philippa Gregory. All my knowledge of this era comes from reading books about it and I just LOVE it. Anne Boleyn is my FAVORITE Queen. Seeing where she lived and was inevitably executed (along with a lot of my other favorite historical women) was just life-changing. I cannot wait to go back and I pray to God it is soon.

9. Touring the Tower That Imprisoned Lady Jane Grey and Seeing the Dudley Family Carvings--Again. I've read about the Dudley family, their imprisonment, and their infamous carvings numerous times...to see it in real life was unreal. So eering and creepy yet totally amazing. Loved it! So lucky!

And last but most certainly not least..... 

10. Going to Hogwarts...The Warner Brothers Studio where they filmed all the Harry Potter films has since been turned into a museum of all the props and sets and what not. I was sooooo lucky to go with my best friend who is also obsessed with Harry Potter and we GEEKED out the whole time. I may or may not have cried about 7 times...no joke. It was awe-inspiring and amazing. They had The Great Hall, Diagon Alley, and Hogwarts. The picture shows the castle and every shot you see in the movies of the grounds was shot using this model. So this is about as close to going to Hogwarts as any of the Muggles are going to get. Best book experience. Ever.
