Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein--Yep, ugly cried like it was going out of style...Thank God I was home alone.
Delirium by Lauren Oliver (Review)--THAT ENDING!! This book made me coin the phrase 'soul-ripper' as in a book that feels like a piece of my soul has been ripped out of my body. Oof.
Maybe One Day by Melissa Kantor--Review up next week. This book broke me a little bit and I cried alone in my room after reading it...like the cool person that I am...
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes--I can't even go there with this one. My post goes up next week on this.
Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson (Review)--The book that made my face leak and had my family asking me if I was alright. "YES. I'M FINE. I'M JUST READING!"
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak--Ask me a serious question...
The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons--Sat in the Nairobi airport sobbing like an infant. Not the first time you're gonna hear I cried in public while reading. HUGE post about this on Friday!
The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay (Review & Blog Tour Post)--The book I got in a HUGE fight with my friend over who wouldn't leave me alone while I tried to finish crying, I mean reading.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling--Yeah, I just cried for about 75% of this book for no reason other than it was ending.
I showed you mine, now show me yours!
What books made you have ALL THE FEELS?!
Maybe One Day! I definitely cried myself to sleep that night. (literally though) And then Delirium!! That was like my first case of love interests can... die? I cried. And Cried. AND CRIED. My copy actually has a crease in it - from throwing it across the room.
ReplyDeleteGreat list!

I completely agree with you, Me Before You is definitely a book that makes you cry. It's a beautiful book. Great list!
ReplyDeleteSoul ripper! Oh my god, totally. I ugly cried like nobody's business at the end of Delirium.
ReplyDeleteGood list, The Fault in Our Stars and The Book Thief made my list as well.
ReplyDeleteI just finished Maybe One Day last night so unfortunately it didn't have time to make it onto my list, but it definitely should have. I just started sobbing at the end, uncontrollable, ugly crying. And Delirium made my list too. That book ripped my heart out. I also just read a book called Me Since You by Laura Wiess that I'm recommending to everybody. I have never cried so much reading a book before, but it was so so good. If you like Maybe One Day, you would definitely like it.
ReplyDeleteThe fault in our stars.. Buuh, such a touching story! But even worse is The book thief, that book ruins me every time I read it <3 And if I think about the death of my favorite character in Harry Potter I feel sad :(

This is such a great topic for TTT. I'm an emotional mess most of the time, and SCS totally made me cry a ton on vacation near a pool on a cruise ship. I have Me Before You sitting on my bed right now and I plan on starting it this week finally. I am prepared!
ReplyDeleteI am still mad over one death in The Deathly Hallows.
ReplyDeleteUgh, The Book Thief! I ended up bursting into tears in my school library whilst reading the end of this one, which wasn't the best place in the world to finish reading that book in, but those tears were coming out whether I wanted them to or not! Same with Second Chance Summer, although I was in the comfort of my bedroom reading that one!
ReplyDeleteEeeeek! There are a few on here that I refuse to read because I KNOW they will make me cry-- TFIOS, SCS, TBT!! Code Name Verity made me cry. I wonder why?? I do plan on reading Me Before You even though I'm sure it'll be super emotional.
ReplyDeleteSecond Chance Summer seriously had me weeping, even long after I turned the last page. There's just something so incredibly moving about the relationship between Taylor and her father. Plus, I really adored the setting and Henry ;) I still need to get a copy of this for my shelves!
ReplyDeleteGreat picks. I also picked Deathly Hallows, I pretty much cry from beginning to end when reading that. My TTT :)
ReplyDeleteI just started reading Maybe One Day! Thanks for preparing me for all the feels! Great list!
ReplyDeleteHere's My TTT
I'm totally with you - I LOVE it when a book can make me break down and sob! Great list!

Code Name Verity - omg YES. so, i read it while I was sitting out by the pool. I had to go inside because i started crying and my friends were like what the hell? yep....
ReplyDeletesecond chance summer is one i've been wanting to read for so long!! i think the topic will really hit close to home for me but it sounds so good and i've heard nothing but good things about it!!
HP - YEP, made my list too! So.. yeah I also haven't read TFIOS. It scares me. I think it would destroy me.
Maybe one day I will make it through Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and not cry. Nawww that's a lie.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! There are a lot of books on here that I haven't had the chance to read yet, but that I have been meaning to for a while!
My TTT- http://amandasnoseinabook.wordpress.com/2014/02/04/top-ten-books-that-give-me-the-feels/
I bawled my eyes out when I finished both ME BEFORE YOU and THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. They both ripped my heart apart then rebuilt it...so beautiful. I also cried at the end of Delirium because GAH! That fence scene!! The others on your list I haven't read but it's good to have a heads up on the feels. :D
ReplyDeleteI've only read HP on your list (which definitely evoked all the feels throughout the series!), but if it counts, the Fault in Our Stars trailer totally made me tear up! It's just so emotional, and I don't even know the whole story!
ReplyDeleteSECOND CHANCE SUMMER AND THE FAULT IN OUR STARS! We already talked about those books a number of times, because hi, perfect holiday reads (but not really), but OH MY GOD THE TEARS. The Book Thief and Harry Potter are some of my all time favorites and will forever make me cry, as well. And I really, really need to read The Sea of Tranquility (because you are the number one book pusher for it) and Me Before You and Code Name Verity. I love crying over books, so I'll bump them up my TBR. Love this list. :)
