Who will be Champion?
June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high level military position. But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them once again. Just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything he has. With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion

The Belle aka What I Love
OMG EVERYTHING!! I cannot even begin to tell you or express how f'ing good this book is. This is a PERFECT final book. One of the best final books I have ever read. Every end is tied up. It isn't a perfect package but it is lovely and real and ultimately...well, I can't tell you the end now, can I?!
June and Day--I CAN'T YOU GUYS, I JUST CAN'T! These two! These two are amazing. They are one of my FAVORITE couples ever and I not say that lightly. June and Day are a complementary dynamic duo that is strong, brave, selfless, badass, and ultimately good. They are good people who do their absolute best to ensure the people, not a few individuals, are taken care of. They are seriously inspiring characters and I had chills while reading. They made me want to stand up and fight for something. That feeling and inspiration RIGHT THERE is exactly why dystopian books are my favorite. The courage to stand up for what you believe, the strength to fight for those who can't, the drive to try and accomplish something to better the lives of all those around you.
Seriously, I cannot get enough of it. Marie Lu writes a complete story that is just incredible. If you have not read this yet, YOU HAVE TO. June and Day's journey is one of horror, sorrow, death, and heartbreaking sadness...but it is also founded in strength, courage, selflessness, and ultimately...love. Love drives this story in so many forms. While I LOVE the romance between the two of them, the love involving Eden and Tess and the people of the Republic is just as beautiful.
The political aspect of this story is intelligent and brings so much more to the story. I love dystopians that deal with government issues. I found this element to be perfectly intertwined with the plot without being overwhelming or simplified. The action and battles of this story had my heart racing. The call to duty to protect your country, again, is just inspiring. I could NOT read fast enough and I never wanted it to end! And the feels?! OMG ALL THE FEELS! Tears I couldn't stop from flowing. The story is beautiful and raw and real. *sigh* June and Day. Love love love.
One last Belle of a thought--in Marie's Acknowledgements, the final paragraph is thanking the readers, specifically the younger readers, in hopes her novel might forge a way into their young hearts and inspire them. I will tell you this, I envy any teenager who gets to read these. I feel inspired to do something as a 20-something young woman, I can only imagine what kind of inspiration this book will have on the younger generation. It truly is inspiring; the writing, the characters, the story, all of it.
The Beast aka What Didn't Work For Me
Um...more kissing? Yes. There definitely could have been more kissing. :)

This is a series I will recommend to lovers of dystopia, lovers of a FANTASTIC and inspiring stories, and lovers of good books in general. I will definitely be adding this to books I want my kids to read. For serious.
First of all, I absolutely LOVE your new review style! This is amazing! Seriously in love. Secondly, omg this book was so amazing!! So many feels! The ending. The paper clip ring. I died. I seriously died. June and Day are the best couple ever, hands down. I love love love them. The political aspect of this series is one of my favorites in the dystopian genre. In fact, this series is seriously my favorite dystopian series ever. This is how you write an ending. Marie Lu is amazing. I can't wait to get my hands on her next series, The Young Elites next year!
