Ok, so while I was away and while on planes and buses I was able to get some reading done! I'll have formal reviews of the 2 review books I read and my thoughts on our NA Slumber Party book will be on the feature but I did read a few fantastic books while I was away other than those! I made notes on my thoughts so because 1. I'm lazy 2. I did not have a computer with me and did not want to write my review longhand 3. I would not remember my detailed thoughts enough to write a full review and 4. To mix things up a bit here are pics of my thoughts of the books I read!
I know this is a bit different and kind of weird but I hope you enjoy a little change-up for the moment. I read Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn--LOVED and Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter--OMG I LOVED IT! SO, without further ado, here are my thoughts on these 2 fantastic books!! You'll get my A Little Too Far review with the NA Slumber Party feature (it will also be a picture) and a formal review of Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge and Her Dark Curiosity by Megan Shepherd closer to publication date :)
Should You Read This? YES. Oh my gosh, yes. Total mind-fuck. My heart was racing to know what was going to happen. I feel like my love for certain characters is atypical but I will make no excuses for my love of one particular character. The storyline is genius, the premise engaging, and the beauty is in the details. Gone Girl is a hyped book with just cause. Pick this up--you won't put it down.
Should You Read This? OMG GO PICK UP THIS BOOK NOW...WHY ARE YOU STILL SITTING THERE...GO PICK IT UP! Ok...ok...I don't do zombies...ever. BUT my lovely friend Betty rec'd this book and when Betty recs a book and gushes over a boy in the book...I pick up the book. I was hesitant--REALLY hesitant. Zombies ARE NOT my thing but I love it when books surprise me and this book was the ULTIMATE surprise. I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. COLE HOLLAND--holy fuck, top book boyfriend. Sorry not sorry, I had to curse. He is just...mmm, rawr. And Ali is pretty damn kickass. This book rocked. Go pick it up. Don't tell me you don't read paranormal, don't tell me you don't read about zombies, I said all of that and more so get up off your ass and go get this book...but Cole is mine...
Yo, I love this review style. The notebook pics are hilarious and Mr. Betty even enjoyed reading-- he says-- "new book review format, whaaaat!" Whaaat Whaaat! So... HELL YES COLE HOLLAND!!! I told youuuu!!! Top Freaking Book Boyfriend. I knew you would appreciate all that is THAT SLAYER! HOT DAMN! Even without Cole-- I know you loved the story and that is what makes me most happy!! But really---- THAT NIPPLE RING!!!! Okay, Mr. Betty would like to say some words:

This is a pretty darn awesome way to review Kelly! I love it loads, and reading your thoughts makes me smile. You're also one of the people who is slowly but surely convincing me that I should probably check out Alice in Zombieland...

I am like you and hate zombie books, but Betty has been raving so much about that book... I added it to my TBR and now I'm going to move it up on the list. Because everyone seems to love it! Even non-zombie lovers.
