Top Ten Books I Wish Could Have Had Sequels

Hey guys!!  So I am really excited to do this week's TTT hosted by The Broke and The Bookish because it got me to thinking of ALL  my favorite stand alone books! Ok, and I must premise by saying that these books are AMAZING and beyond all on their own. What makes me want a sequel is not because I found the story incomplete, it's that I just want MORE of these characters! I don't want drama, I don't need a climax, I just want to see them in their daily lives living Happily Ever After...

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover-- Because I want to see all of Holder and Sky's forevers...

The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay-- Because I want back in that garage...

Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry-- Because this book leaves scars on me in the best possible way...

Golden by Jessi Kirby-- Because I want to make more out of this one wild and precious life...

Juliet by Anne Fortier-- Because this wasn't a tale of woe, this re-telling of Juliet and her Romeo...

Lover Awakened by JR Ward-- Because I will read about Z and Bella doing their laundry as long as I get to spend a little more time with them...

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green-- Because I do...I just do...

Across a Star-Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund-- Because this book hasn't even come out yet and I want to be back in the star cove...

Can't wait to see what you all choose!!

I think my heart just spontaneously combusted. Wrecks the heart in the best of ways, no?

  5. Great list! Definitely agree about Lover Awakened, I re-read that book more than any of the other BDB books to get my Z fix...

  6. I really wanted to put Juliet on my list as well, but there were no more spots left... But I'd LOVE a sequel to it!! And I'd just love for Anne Fortier to write another book...

  8. I have actually only read the first 3 BDB books, but I skipped ahead to read Z and Bella's novella, because I was so obsessed with those two. No regrets! I actually love that Pushing the Limits has sequels that are from other characters' POVS so we get to see Noah and Echo happy without all of the drama that comes when the couples is the focus of the plot. And Losing Hope made me feel so much more settled about Hopeless. YES to the Sea of Tranquility, tho I'm not sure I could handle more emotional turmoil from those two. Juliet would be fun to have a round two - maybe focusing on the sister? Forget what happens to her in the end? And I can't wait to read Across a Star Swept Sea! So excited that you loved it as much as you did.

  9. Great list! This is impressive. I couldn't think of any standalones for this week. I pretty much only read series. But The Fault in Our Stars and Across a Star Swept Sea are both on my TBR list.

I ended up adapting my post to make it Top Ten Series I Wish Could Go On Forever.

  12. That's a lot of fantastic books! Most are in my TBR pile, I'm really looking forward to reading them all. They are all books that I've heard so many fantastic things about.

I recently started reading The Sea of Tranquility for a read-along but alas I got sidetracked with books for review that had due dates but I'm looking forward to going back to it ASAP.

  14. The Fault in Our Stars is in my list as well. Despite knowing any more in that world will break what little of my heart was left after finishing the novel, I still want John Green to tell me more!

    Here's my TTT.

  17. Oh man, I love Pushing the Limits! Noah and Echo! I haven't read Across a Star-Swept Sea, but I believe it's based on The Scarlet Pimpernel, which is a favorite of mine. Well, the book isn't, but the character of The Scarlet Pimpernel. I'm not really into futuristic or dystopian books, but I am thinking I should read it, because THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL!
