"Power in the place of helplessness,
pride where she would have felt sick and exposed.
There was a secret in these women that went deeper than the ink around their wrists,
and sometimes she thought if she watched for long enough,
she could unlock it herself."

Goodreads Description
A woman with no future…
Live fast, die young–anything else is a fantasy for Six. She’s endured the worst the sectors had to throw at her, but falling in with Dallas O’Kane’s Sector Four gang lands her in a whole new world of danger. They’re completely open about everything, including their sexuality–but she hasn’t survived this long by making herself vulnerable. Especially not to men as dominant as Brendan Donnelly.
A man without a past…
Bren is a killer, trained in Eden and thrown to the sectors. His one outlet is pain, in the cage and in the bedroom, and emotion is a luxury he can’t afford–until he meets Six. Protecting her soothes him, but it isn’t enough. Her hunger for touch sparks a journey of erotic discovery where anything goes–voyeurism, flogging, rough sex. He has only one rule: he won’t share her.
In Bren’s arms, Six is finally free to let go. But his obsession with the man who made him a monster could destroy the fragile connection they’ve forged, and cost him the one thing that makes him feel human–her love.

My Thoughts
Oh my. I really don’t know where to start with this one…Ok, so to say I’m obsessed with these books might be one of the biggest understatements ever. Beyond Shame and Beyond Control are ridiculously fucking good. Yes, I am using profanities because these books are no fucking joke and they’re erotic and I feel it necessary to do so.
Anyways. We are back in Sector 4 and this time around we get to follow Bren and Six’s journey towards a relationship that works for both of them. I loved Dallas and Lex…like, LOVED. I was worried nothing would top that for me…oh, how wrong I was. Bren and Six…shit. Call me what you want, the dominance Bren shows and possess is one of the hottest things ever. He tells Six at one point that he will never let anyone else touch her, only he is allowed to and, I swear to God, I think I needed a cold shower after that. He is just all-consuming and strong and oh so broken. Six isn’t much better in the mental stability department and watching these two develop feelings for one another was beyond beautiful.
And while the sex was hot (and I mean HOT), my favorite moments between them were the quiet ones. The tenderness they show one another is palpable and raw. I just couldn’t get enough of these two going to bat for one another and breaking down each other’s walls. They are both tortured and broken in their own way and the fact that they can both find a way to let go is astounding. Six comes so far from where she started and while I was unsure of her badass-ness (is that a word?...), there is a certain scene involving a cage that solidified her place as a kickass female not to be messed with. Special thanks to Jaime for putting up with ALL my flails!
The political turmoil in the sectors continues to escalate and we get to see how Dallas is going to handle Sector Three. I loved seeing the world of The Broken Circle expand into so much more than their individual Sector. There is so much growth and I can't see it stopping anytime soon. While there isn’t as much political intrigue as the last book, I’m not complaining because it just meant more Bren and Six. For serious, did I mention how hot they were?
Speaking of hot, like I mentioned before the sex is incredible. These books are not for the faint-hearted. They are hardcore with a lot of sexuality and exploration and I continue to commend the Kit Rocha team for writing these characters in SUCH a phenomenal way. I just love how they explore so many different routes of pleasure and sex and how it is all about love and feeling good. I know that probably sounds corny but I do! Their series continues to be unapologetically sexual and raw and in-your-face. The dynamics of all the relationships are mesmerizing and beautiful and flawed and perfect in their own way.
I can’t get enough of these books. I fangirl pretty hard for them and I already cannot wait for the next book!!
Should You Read This? Not for the faint-hearted but if you love fantastic characterizations, beautiful relationships, and hot sex then these books are SO for you.
