Top Ten Characters I Would Crush On If I Were Also A Fictional Character

Gah!! This topic was so much fun! I loooooove me some book boyfriends and I looooove The Broke and the Bookish for thinking up this topic! However it was very near impossible only being able to list 10...in fact, it was quite cruel to try and narrow it down but I digress. Love to re-live the swoon of fictional characters because let's be honest...Boys: They're Better in Books <3 


1. Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices--A sarcastic and snarky smart-ass who loves books?! Um, what?! I want one! Love the Will. His one-liners are to swoon for. I binge read the entire Infernal Devices series last week and I am just so catastrophically in love with Will Herondale it borders on insane.  Love love love.

2. Alex Sheathes from Delirum--Words cannot convey my love for Alex. He taught Lena how to love and to be free and to fight and be strong and so much more! If that isn't reason enough I could fangirl for another hour on how much I love him. I know ya'll have mixed feelings with Requiem but after re-reading Delirium and Pandemonium a few months back I just fell in love with his character all over again. 

3. Adam from If I Stay--Seriously?! Seriously. He is perfect. So devoted. So adoring. So in love. I want him in my real life. He plays guitar...and is in a band...and you KNOW he has tattoos somewhere on his person...please hold while I wipe up my drool. 

4. Matthew de Clairmont from A Discovery of Witches--Swoon Alert Ladies and Gents!!! Ugh, a big, strong, sexy vampire who will do WHATEVER it takes to protect Diana. Sign me up, I'll cast some spells. Whatever you want Matthew. Oh and did I mention that he is French? And a warrior? And so cursed with his humanity and emotions he loathes what he is. Oh he is so deliciously emotionally messed up you just want to crawl into his arms and tell him it will be okay.

5. Leon from Birthmarked--Ugggh, Leon breaks my heart I just love him so much!! Breaks it. Smashes it. He is so strong and selfless and is just a man. He, like Matthew, does whatever he needs to in order to protect Gaia and keep her safe and love her. I have never in my life felt such emotional angst and intensity than while reading these books. The intensity, the passion, these books have it all. My heart felt Leon... *sigh*

6. Adam from Shatter Me--This guy is legit. So protective that he would risk life and limb for those he loves. He sacrifices so much for those around him and his scenes with his brother?!?! I die a little each time. I would run away with him any day of the week. 

7. Warner from Unravel Me-- Yep, went there. Sorry not sorry. I swoon hard for Warner. I am not usually into the bad boy...well I have a few other exceptions but Warner is my main rebel without a cause. He is so much more than what meets the surface. He is tortured and damaged and has been hurt for so long. I really feel like he has a deep and lovely soul underneath all that scar tissue. Oh and I want him to Chapter 62 me...all day...every day.

8. Hector from Crown of Embers--Oh my word, is it hot in here? This man...this man is just amazing. Fierce and protective and I fell in love with this book so much more because of him. I liked The Girl of Fire and Thorns but I LOVED Crown of Embers mostly because of Hector and the relationship Elisa builds with him. This book had me turning the pages as fast as I could in order to get as much Hector page time as possible. I want him as my captain of the guard...for reals. 

9. Four from Divergent-- Strong and silent and inherently distrustful of humans...a man after my own heart :) And he can wield a gun as well as numerous other weapons? And fix my computer? Hello man of the 21st century. Sexy. This character is dead sexy. 

10. Dallas O'Kane from Beyond Control--This guy is dark and slightly emotionally damaged...but hot damn is a sexy mother effer. He wears the pants in the relationship. He knows what he wants. He knows how to treat women. For real. Rugged and strong and head of a gang who rules the sector. Sign. Me. Up. For. The. Cuffs. And. Collar.
