My Life In Books (14)

So I totally had a CRAZY (and slightly more than horrible) week at work so I didn't have time to do a My Week in Books post :( Sad BUT combining the last two weeks my haul is epic to me! I am SO excited to start reading these! And some I may have already started and finished...oops...sorry not sorry. Here is what I have this week, meme inspired by Showcase Sunday by Book, Biscuits and TeaIn My Mailbox by The Story Siren and Stacking the Shelves by Tynga's Reviews.

For Review

The Boleyn King by Laura Andersen--A historical fiction depicting what could have happened if Anne Boleyn had a son...OH  MY GOSH IS THIS FOR REAL?!?
My excitement cannot be contained! Thank you NetGalley and Ballantine

Beyond Control by Kit Rocha--Eeep!! Again, SO excited for this! LOVED Beyond Shame, cannot WAIT to start this! Thank you NetGalley and Kit Rocha :)

The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay--This. Book. Is. Epic. One of the best books I have EVER read and I am sooooo happy I got to read this early :) THANK YOU ATRIA AND NETGALLEY!

Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo--I TOLD YOU THIS WEEK WAS EPIC FOR ME!! Ermagosh! a;dkfjads;lfj!<---My reaction upon opening this. Seriously. Best day ever! :) THANK YOU MACMILLIAN!! :) :) :)

Won

Tarnish by Katherine Longshore--Won this in a giveaway and I could not be more excited!!! I opened up my email and screamed out loud! That description on the back?! SO EXCITED! I fangirl for Anne Boleyn. Seriously. Thanks Katy!!! :)

Borrowed

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell--I have heard nothing but great things about this and with blurbs by Gayle Forman and John Green...uh hello! Sign me up!

Bought

Um...can you tell there was a sale all week at Half Price Books?...Do you like my purchases Betty, Hannah, Judith, and Jen?? :)

4 of the 6 Vampire Academy books by Richelle Mead--I have the first book and I need to go back and buy the 4th book, is it? I will devote an entire off week to these books shortly. If they're as good as everyone says they are, I'm gonna need to be off work to read these :)

Starcrossed and Dreamless by Josephine Angelini--LOVE Greek mythology and heard really great things about these! Probably won't start them until the last book comes out...next month?

Where She Went and Just One Day by Gayle Forman--Read, cried, loved, needed to buy. Enough said.

Requiem by Lauren Oliver--Uh, yeah, I had to buy a hardcover of it in order to complete my collection AND have a  look into the mind of Alex...let's be honest :)

Oh my gosh, I wish EVERY week were this brilliant but I will take this week and put it down in history as the best week ever!!! Can't wait to see what you all got!! :)

  1. EE! I'm so excited about The Boleyn King as well! And Tarnish is such a pretty book!
I really need to catch up on the Vampire Academy books, I read the first two and they're SO GOOD! You will LOVE Dimitri!
I also really loved Starcrossed, still need to read Dreamless, but I'll binge-read them once Goddess is out :)
    Enjoy your epic haul!

  4. I think The Boleyn King sounds really, really interesting. I am a little skeptical of it though, so hopefully I hear a ton of positive reviews on it, to know it's worth reading. And I picked up Requiem as well recently, although have yet to actually read it.

  5. OMGOSH I'm so envious of you. You have Tarnish. *sigh* Speaking of Tudors, I'll be interested to see what you think of The Boleyn King. I'm intrigued but it differs so greatly from what actually happened I'm not sure if I would care for it as much. But it sounds like it has serious potential so I hope you enjoy it!
