I am SO owning this challenge this month! I had the most amazing love affair with my family AKA the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Seriously, my favorite series of all time and forever. The Brothers and their world lives in my soul. As does Attachments. Dear Lord, that book is so amazing! GREAT month! How did you guys do?

It's official!! The first ever Re-Read Challenge has completed! Winner for our final giveaway will be chosen by the lovely Hannah! I am currently out of the country and will be back in a few weeks, so the lucky winner will have to be patient and I will get your book to you when I get home!

Re-Read Challenge 2016

The Re-Read Challenge is back, y'all! I'll be flying solo this year because Hannah will be welcoming a little bundle of joy soon and needs to be re-reading her favorite books to her little one and focusing her time in a much more adorable way! I'm already picturing her in a rocking chair and tearing up so let's move to the challenge!

Do you want to relive the magic of your favorite books? Is your TBR pile overwhelming with all the new books? Are you burned out or in a slump trying to find your next favorite read? Take a moment and re-read one of your favorite books! If you didn't participate last year and you're hesitant to participate in another challenge, I will list the most common gripes and give you a reason to still participate!

I definitely don't enjoy those challenges either so I want to make it as easy as possible for not only you but for ourselves as well! Here's how you join! Link up at the bottom of this post with a link to your intro post stating why you want to join and what books you're looking forward to re-reading. Post anytime from now through January. Then on the 1st of each month, or around there we know you get busy too, create a post that lists the books you re-read in the past month. Link up to our posts...and that's it! You've earned your Re-Read bragging rights for the month!

This is optional of course but if you want something to post about a favorite book you decided to re-read or because you read it prior to blogging, we came up with a little template for you to use as a post after you re-read. I haven't re-read a book since starting blogging.

Now's the time to start! Take the time to relive the magic of your favorite books. Let yourself re-inhabit your favorite stories and world and remember what it was like the first time around. You never forget your first...but your second and third can be just as great. 

In January, I'll share my kickoff post with the books I'm hoping to re-read. The graphic in the sidebar will link back to this post, so you can sign up any time! Bear with me a bit in January because I'll be traveling and out of the country from the end of December through most of January so if there's any kink, I apologize and don't deter because of my (possible) mistakes!

The Re-Read Challenge Details

1. This challenge will run from January 1, 2016 - December 31, 2016. The sign-up linky will remain open until the mid January, but you can join at any time by adding your intro post to any monthly re-read recap links.
2. Any genre, length or format of book counts, as long as it's a re-read.
3. There will have two giveaways - one at the six-month point and one at the end of the year. Giveaway details posted closer to the halfway point!
4. You don't have to follow my blog to participate or be entered in the giveaways, although it'd be nice! Especially tweet at me @xoxokellynina because I'd love to keep in the loop about re-reading and what you guys are up to!

How You Sign Up

1. Write a post about joining The 2016 Re-Read Challenge on your blog. In the post, include the banner, a link back to our sign-up page, the number of books you'd like to re-read and list some books you're hoping to re-read for the challenge.
2. Add the direct link to your sign-up post in the linky below.
3. Optional: Put the challenge button in your sidebar (grab link available at the bottom of the post).
4. DONE. It's as easy as that to get started.


How You Participate

1. Re-read some books!
2. In the first week of each month, I will post a re-read recap on here on Belle of the Literati that includes a linky that will be open all month. Write a post detailing what you re-read the last month, and add the direct link to our linky to be entered in our giveaways.
3. If you write any re-read reviews (it's totally optional!), add those to the monthly linky for additional entries (one per post) in our giveways.
4. If you miss a monthly post, just link up your reviews and/or recap in the linky during the next month.
