The Belle
The Conclusion. This book was exactly what a third and final book in a series. I feel like quite a few final books are so worried about tying up loose ends that it feels like a race to the finish. What I loved most about this book was that it was still a story. It continued to tell Deuce's journey and what she went through. It didn't try and wrap things up immediately and resolve things. Hell to the no. This was a complete story. Deuce still had a lot of work to do and things were NOT easy. She worked for every inch she gained. The pacing was perfect. Ann Aguirre truly wrote a cohesive and complete story. I was SO impressed by the writing and how things played out; I found it refreshing and simply fantastic.
The Strength. Deuce is a fighter. She is smart, courageous, and doesn't give up. She fails. A lot. Her journey is realistic and her fight is brutal. I loved seeing her grow and develop into her own person and finally start to accept the love that is so obviously around her. I loved seeing her be independent yet ask for and accept help when she needs it. Her relationship with Fade doesn't come easy either. But it is so worth it all in the end. I loved how she accepted him and NEVER gave up on him. These two are a phenomenal couple and what I love best is that they are a team. They work together. They trust each other inherently. They are partners. I LOVE this.
The Outsiders. Our periphery characters are also what make this story brilliant. Stalker, Tegen, Momma Oaks, and all the new faces we meet bring so much depth to the story. It gives the story life and love and heartbreak but it makes it real. This isn't just about Deuce and Fade, these Freaks affect everyone and everyone has loved ones they want to protect. While the story is brutal and harsh and not entirely happy, the core of this story is about love and survival and sacrifice for the greater good. Y'all know how I love my triumph over evil stories, right?
The Message. No spoilers here but there is another entire element about acceptance and looking beyond prior judgments and prejudices. Again, love and acceptance and understanding is the heart (see what I did there?) of this story.

???...To be honest, I can't really think of anything that didn't work. More kissing? Like with Champion, I can never have enough of the tender moments. But let me tell you...Fade and Deuce...hotachacha.
Should You RSVP to this Ball?
Yes! This trilogy is a complete story beginning to end. The arc of the journey starts in the dark underground and ends up going to places of light and love that you never see coming. If you haven't read it yet, I would definitely recommend. Dystopia and post-apocalyptic lovers will devour and binge read this story!
I've been holding off on this series because of the love triangle, but I hear it's more of a love T, so I should really get on this....
