Wow. Just wow. I read Claimed, the first book in the series, last year and loved it. I was beyond ecstatic when Addicted showed up at my door. I made Claimed my next re-read and Addicted my next read. I legit read both these books in ONE day, people. Once I started Addicted I could not stop...pun intended. Here's why.
The action starts off pretty immediately. We are right back in the outlaw world and right back in the sexual tension. Lennox and Jame are best friends and grew up together and both thinks the other one has never seen them in the romantic way. Circumstances bring them and a few other of Connor's crew to Foxworth, the outlaw community run by Reese. While teaching their people how to fight, sparks fly and not just the sparks from firing a loaded weapon. The sexual tension between Lennox and Jamie is on another level. They circle around each other like sparring partners and when they finally take some baby steps to exploring each other sexually it was SO hot. And *ahem* creative. I want to live in Elle Kennedy's head. Stake my flag, build a cabin, and live forevermore in her head. Seriously.
More than just the sexual tension and sexy times, we really do see who deep their friendship runs. I loooooved their platonic moments even before the sex started. They are a team and always have been. I loved reading about their shared history and how much they have been through. Their easy repartee with one another was beautiful. I loved them, seriously loved, if you cannot tell. Oooh, and the issues they have to work through once they are sleeping together...dayum, girl. Watch the fuck out. These two both run hot and I was laughing my ass off when everything comes to a head because reasons. You'll have to read but it was just amazing. Jamie is just amazing.
The amazing relationship between Lennox and Jamie was not the only thing that kept me turning the pages until 1 am. The rising tension between Enforcers/Colony and the outlaws is evident at Foxworth. Reese, their leader, has been having a few issues and is the reason why she needs Con's men to train her people. It is quite a scary situation having to deal with these Enforcers who think they can do whatever they want. I am ridiculously excited to see where the plot goes with the outlaws vs the Colony because shit is going to go down and I can't wait to see what happens.
The secondary characters we meet are just as enticing as our main couple. We see a lot of Reese and Rylan and Reese' bodyguard/right hand man Sloane. Hellooooo sexual tension. Wow. If it wasn't Lennox and Jamie it was a combination of those other 3. This next book is gonna be fun with a capital sexy. The members of Foxworth also tore at my heart strings. The teenagers learning to fight, especially Randy and Sara, gave me puppy love feels. It was super interesting to see the difference in knowledge between the adult outlaws and the teenagers. Seriously fascinating.
Oh, oh OH! And the feels! I did not except to FEEL so much!! It was amazing! It hurt at some points but was SO amazing! I did not expect to feel so much while reading! I was crying and misting up all the fuck over the place. It was ridiculous in the best way. Oh, my gods I cannot wait to see what happens next!! Gah! I wish I could explain more but I will give zero spoilers so just READ the books!
