Welcome to my stop on the Maas Thirteen's Empire of Storms blog tour!! I'm so excited to continue to be a part of this amazing group of women who love and support Sarah and the Throne of Glass series. (You can catch up on my Heir of Fire blog stop and Queen of Shadows stop if you'd like!) For my tour stop I'm taking my character doppleganger (personality not looks obviously) and homegirl Aelin with me on a trip around the world. I want to show her all my favorite places and a few I haven't had the pleasure of going yet Aelin has said she longs to see far-off places and unknown lands and who else to be a travel buddy than moi? That's right, nobody. And let's be real, most of this is gonna be a tour of hot foreign guys. Just don't tell Rowan and Aedion. We'll behave...mostly...
The first stop on our trip around the world will be the city of my soul--London. Aelin and I will take in all the history, visit the Bodlein Library while drooling all over ourselves, and tour all the castles to, of course, pretend we are Queens of the past because we are both Queens of the present.
Scotland
Scottish men...that is all. (Okay, we'll also walk the historic Edinburgh streets and explore the Isle of Skye and the Highlands...looking for kilted savage hotties.)
Rome and Venice, Italy
The city and country of my heart. One world--tiramisu. One more word--gelato. Few people than Aelin can appreciate my sweet tooth and indulge along with me, all day, every day. We'll also explore the ruins and the Colosseum, toss our coins into the Trevi Fountain, and be serenaded by the gorgeous men that Italy produces.
Amazing food, amazing music, amazing dancing with a beautiful city in the background. And those Spanish hips don't lie...not that I would know...*cough*
Fes, Morroco
The clothes, you guys...the clothes!We will binge ourselves on the scarves and beautifully embroidered traditional dresses. Watch yourself, we're doing this in style.
Tanzania
Going on safari in the Serengeti, the wild animals will definitely appeal to Aelin--and my--more savage side. It'll also be super fun to see Uncle Kitty Cat's fellow felines. And while I haven't done it yet, I'm gonna make her climb Mt Kilimanjaro with me. Real life plan is to do it next year when I turn 30 but when in Rome, erm Tanzania, she and I will conquer that peak.
Moscow, Russia
We'll explore the beautiful spires of Saint Basil's cathedral and at night we will watch multiple performances of the Russian Ballet. Did I mention Russian men are hot?
New Zealand
A place I have wanted to go for so long! With a fellow adrenaline junkie like Aelin, we are totally going bungee jumping and sky diving and hiking and exploring those glow worm caves I've heard are epic. The Kiwi men we will stay away from...*growl*
Ireland
To end our trip, we're going alllllll the way back to Europe to end in one of my favorite countries of all time. I couldn't pick just one Irish city, we'll have to make our rounds to all my favorites. Dublin, Killarney, Galway, and the coastal peninsula of Dingle. As the ancient home of the Fae, I know she will love and appreciate the epic scenery and land as much as I do. And we'll spend our nights in pubs listening to all the Irish music drinking and dancing with all the hot Irish men because...duh.
