I. AM. IN. LOVE. WITH. MEGAN. ERICKSON. I actually cannot get enough of her books. This book is no exception. I was super excited to read Brent's story because he's such a cocky, sarcastic bastard. I couldn't wait to see him brought to his knees...and he was...by more than one woman. Ivy has an adorable daughter from a previous relationship and, holy hell you guys, it was amazing. You all know I LOVE kids in books and this was on another level of adorable. There's one scene where Ivy finds her daughter at the shop with Brent and she's got a huge t-shirt on to protect her princess dress from getting grease on it all while wearing her tiara. I can't. I just cannot with the cuteness. I was ready to marry him, I can't imagine how Ivy felt. Ok, but I digress.
Because of past and Ivy's sisters' past, Ivy is very guarded. Brent does what he can to play it cool but he cannot let this amazing woman push him away. I loved their banter and watching Ivy learn to trust again. Add in her daughter and it is on.another.level. of amazing. I am seriously at a loss for words as to accurately describe how much I love this book and this series.
As per usual, the writing is fantastic. I couldn't put the book down once I started because everything flowed so smoothly and it read just effortlessly. I couldn't wait to see what happened next and I had a total case of 'just one more chapter.' The struggle was real.
You know what else is real? My very deep love for the Payton family. All of them. I love all of them. Especially Jack...and Alex. Read the book to know what I mean :) But for real. Being back with this family and their amazing and unique dynamic felt like coming home. I would read a thousand books taking place in Tory and it still wouldn't be enough. If you love romance, snarky and witty banter, and sexy AF men, and strong, independent females, you NEED to start reading these books!

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO, SO, SO MUCH! It really hit me right in the heart in the best way, and I absolutely adored it. Brent and Ivy were such a great couple to read about <3
