This book was gifted to me by Hannah and it came highly recommended by her. I've never read Christian Fiction before but our beliefs are very similar so she thought I would like this. I was a little hesitant, I won't lie, but only because the time period was not super appealing to me so I wasn't sure if I would be able to get into in that sense...oh, how wrong I was...
Hannah had it right...again...and I just fell IN LOVE with this book. The characters, the story, the message, the struggle, everything! I honestly cannot put into words how much this book affected me. There were passages that had me in ugly tears and it wasn't until after I read that I realized how much I needed a book like this in my life. It shook me to my core and was just SO good. There is so much about self-acceptance and trusting in the Lord. Trusting His timing and His plan and always knowing that the love is always there.
I cannot say enough good things about this book and I truly thank Hannah for giving this to me because it was exactly what I needed.

I read this book about 9 years ago. It was the book that changed everything for me. After I read it, I found that I wanted to read absolutely everything that I could get my hands on. I was a freshman in high school and reading had not been a priority for me -especially since I read much slower than the rest of my peers.
ReplyDeleteI love Francine Rivers' work. It's beautiful, entrancing, and an all around life-changing read. Have you read her Mark of the Lion trilogy? Those are the only books that have topped Redeeming Love in my opinion. They are unbelievably good!
I enjoyed your post! I look forward to reading more!
