I literally read this books MONTHS ago and for some reason it was never scheduled...so that means it is not in my new format. It is also quite short seeing as it's a final book and we can't give away too many spoilers. My apologies.

Wow. Another series binge read. I thought for my final review of Sever I would talk about the series as a whole and combine it with Fever in case you haven’t read any of the books yet.
The Chemical Garden
We live in a world that has ugliness in it. We cannot deny this fact. Lauren explores this ugliness and exposes you to the utter hopelessness and despair that life can give you. Her dystopia is terrifying because it feels real. Scientific advancement is great but it is not without its costs. She helps us to see what kind of damage we could do if we are not careful. I loved that her world is dark and makes you realize that not all stories have happy endings and sometimes you just have to endure.
Now, enough with the dark drama. The final book in this trilogy, while still haunting and unsettling at times, is extremely satisfying. Questions are answered, some problems are resolved, and we get a full circle of a story that leaves the reader with a feeling of relief because the story arc has completed its full circle. While the story is not all happy, there are happy moments to be found and this is what else I liked about the trilogy; happiness can still be found even in the ugly moments.
Should You Read This? If you are a fan of Wither and Fever, you will definitely not be disappointed with this final book. If you haven’t read any yet, this is a dystopia that will leave you feeling haunted but ultimately worth it.
